Dr.Sunny arrived to the Largo area in 2010 where he originally was employed as the director of hospital medicine for the Diagnostic Clinic.  It was during this time that he was exposed to arena of facility based medicine and the unique care required of those in skilled nursing, assisted, and independent living facilities, as well as the higher level of care required for those suffering from dementia and dementing illnesses.

Since his arrival to the area, Dr.Sunny has focused his career on aging and dementia.  He spent five years as a teaching faculty attending at Largo Medical Center where he taught internal medicine residents as well as medical students from various medical schools.  He is the managing member of Legacy Health Medical Group, LLC, a practice devoted entirely to the care of hospitalized, nursing home, assisted, and independent living residents.  He is a previous local principal investigator of an Alzheimer’s treatment trial seeking a potential cure for Alzheimer’s disease.  He is proud to be the medical director of several local nursing homes and assisted living facilities as well as working closely with home health care companies.

In his free time, he enjoys the company of his wife, Ashley, and his sons, Eli and Troy.  Whenever possible, he tries to fish the Gulf of Mexico for grouper and mackerel, though is seldom lucky to catch anything.
